Segovia Acuarelas cuaderno grande

Estas son algunas de las acuarelas que hice en Julio en Segovia.
Las mas panorámicas las podéis ver AQUI
Algo se nota la influencia del simposio de Barcelona.

Here are some of the watercolours that I did in Segovia in July.
The larger panoramas you can see HERE

Segovia - dibujos Julio 2013

After BCN I went to Segovia (SG) for a while, and practiced techniques, mixed them a bit and also managed to annoy my companions especially when I drew them:) Here go a few of the sketches I did in the lighter, smaller book. Later, I will upload some of the watercolours (larger drawings) that I can now also scan.

Los dos últimos dibujos los hice desde la terraza del bar nuevo del Alcázar, y "ayudada" con el spray del ventilador/humidificador para mojarme el dibujo y difuminarlo.

The last two drawings from the terrace of the new bar in the Alcazar  were helped by the spray of the humidifier fan to wet the drawing and blur it

FELIZ 2012 - HAPPY NEW YEAR

Feliz 2012! - .Happy 2012!Repasando lo que he hice en el 2011, aqui va un cuadernillo que llene este verano, es un librillo que me hice donde las hojas se doblan en tres y poder tener un formato alargado.
Looking back to my work in 2011, I found this little sketchbook I did this summer, with sheets that fold in three so that I can have a long landscape format to draw on.

Son seis dibujos de Segovia para celebrar el 2012 - these are six drawings of Segovia to celebrate 2012.

Segovia July 2011

I have spent 11 fantastic days painting and sketching in Segovia.  Loads of views of the Alcazar and from the Alcazar. Some interesting encounters with locals and tourists. And a grand finale of taking part on the Quick painting competition run by the San Lorenzo quarter. I was not that prepared for this one (no materials) and the shops did not have any watercolour paper. Luckily, I got some free large card where I could do a large drawing (not really a painting) with a bit of colour.Day 1 (21st July- Vera Cruz from Alcazar, Vera Cruz, San Esteban and Jardin de Fronkes).

Day 2 (22nd July - Alcazar desde Muralla, Drumming in Plaza Juan Bravo)

Day 4 (25th July - Mujer Muerta desde Alcazar, Cathedral Tower)
Day 5 (26th July La Merced  from Jewish Cemetery)
Day 7 (27th July - Acueducto - vista 1, View from Vera Cruz - long panorama - concertina book)

Day 8 (28th July - La Granja - El Mar, Palacio, Perspectiva de Fuentes)

Day 9 Acueducto - vista 2

Day 10 (30th July - High view of Alcazar and Catedral)

Day 11 (31st July - Grand Finale - San Lorenzo - quick painting - 1 hour drawing - 70x70 cm)

Retrospective 6 - Segovia - preparing for the Pintura Rapida Competition

Last year i took part on the pintura rapida competition - these are a few sketches i did in the days running up to it. A magical place.

In the run up to the competition, it rained and rained, so we were worried about the painting day.

In the end I chose a spot under cover, just in case. This final picture shows the large (full watercolour sheet) picture that took some 6 hours to finish, i was being careful, we had signers in the square at one point, and the people on the cafe kept changing. The final display by the Acueducto with all the participants (more than 80) was very exhilarating. An exhausting day.
