These islands are beyond the tip of Cornwall and have a mild climate, lush vegetation and full of bird watchers. We recognise them by their darkish green clothing, boots, binoculars and some have very huge zoom cameras.
A very amusing episode happened in a small hide (wood enclosure by a lake to bird watch from) where we arrived and were alone, enjoying watching some herons (thinking of a potential sketch) and then the board walk creaked, and one after the other eight bird watchers arrived and filled the hide space, we could barely move... After a couple of minutes (of badly contained giggles), we moved to the next hide (20m away), that was empty and from which we could see a greater variety of birds. So we quickly took our sketchbooks and did a fasting drawing (10min) fearing at any moment that they would follow us. But no, we were safe, only at the end, a single bird watcher arrived, useful as we could ask the names of the various birds we had drawn - green shanks and dunlins -. When we left, the bird watcher pack were only 10m ahead, stopped waiting for some bird, mysteriously they've chosen to ignore the second hide, with the better views....

Misterio.
